In this final episode of The Chosen’s first season, Jesus asks a Samaritan lady for a drink from Jacob’s well & it’s Photina, this same Samaritan lady, who ends up with a very unexpected full gulp of Living Water. She also ends up with some Good News she can go spread around – the Father in Heaven is looking for people who will truly worship Him in spirit & truth, not only on a particular mountain or temple.
The Chosen cast & crew are out in Texas right now, working on filming the second half of season 2. You might consider praying for them during the next few weeks, if you sense Holy Spirit reminding you to do so.

What are your thoughts on The Chosen's intro song (opening credits)? What do you think of Shula (Mary's friend who is blind)? What about Barnaby? Do you see any more “out of the box” moves by Jesus in this final episode of season 1? In the show, Photina wanted to see Jesus produce proof of His claim to being the Messiah. What convinced Photina that Jesus was in fact the Messiah, the Christ? (it could be more than one thing) What did that do to her, discovering Jesus' identity? Who does Jesus like to be with? Who does He like to choose?

In the opening scene, the patriarch Jacob to a stranger who is questioning his choice of God: We didn't choose Him – He chose us. Jesus to Eden, just before He heals her eema, & as Simon gets ready for an extended road trip: You have a role to play in all of this ... I can't make everything about this easier for you. For me, the last scene of this episode is a special moment in the show, in kind of the same way Jesus calling Matthew is so very exciting to watch. Here are 3 quotes from the final scene of The Chosen’s season 1, where Jesus becomes Photina’s Living Water:

OK, I’m going to add a song here. Yesterday afternoon I chose to listen to “Simplicity” & I ended up playing this song, “Create In Me”, a few times as well. This was happening while I was cleaning my brand new checkered kitchen floor. I was reminded yet again of why I’ve always liked this song so very much. And it made me think of Photina. I found a really cool video with amazing photos!
