What to Expect

We are excited that you will be visiting us!

We know that each church has it’s own flavour and culture, so here is a snapshot of what you can expect when you visit Cornerstone Vineyard for the first time:

Finding us. We are located at 287 4th Street in Winkler, Manitoba. Cornerstone is easily located behind the Access Credit Union in the old Fire Hall.

We are casual. You don’t need to dress up to come to church, so dress how you are comfortable!

We start at 10:30 am. If you can, try to come a few minutes early to grab a coffee, a seat and settle in. Our service ends at around noon.

We love your family! We do not offer childcare for children during the service, however a nursery for children under two is available to parents for playing, nursing and diaper changing.

We are worshipers. At 10:30, after a short welcome, we will spend some time in worship together. This is our favourite thing to do as a community!

We are spontaneous. We like to leave room for the Holy Spirit to move as He desires, which means sometimes we pause just to listen. (“Come Holy Spirit” is our favourite prayer!) We enjoy spontaneity and aren’t tied to a structure. While we usually pray, plan, and have an idea of how the morning will go, we are open to God changing it all.

We are welcoming. If you are new—don’t worry—you won’t be ignored. But you won’t be overwhelmed by overly-enthusiastic greeters either. It’s friendly, casual, fun, and we believe that God will bring just the right people to chat with you!

We are committed to supporting each other — Before the worship, we usually take a short time to lift one of our families, couples or individual up in prayer.

We love the Word of God. The teaching at Cornerstone is shared by our pastoral team and often others in our community. The Word of God is our foundation, and you will hear biblical teaching. While each speaker is unique in their gifts and perspectives, our general style is a casual one.

We believe in prayer. At the end of every service there is an opportunity to receive prayer by a ministry team who is safe, and will pray with and for you.

We hope to see you soon!
