WE VALUE

HUNGER AND THIRST FOR GOD.
We desire to hear His voice and experience His manifest presence.

CHRISTLIKENESS.
We are made in the image of God’s Son, so we desire the character of Jesus to be our daily expression of life.

SPIRIT-LED MINISTRY.
We have been given the Holy Spirit so that we are not alone and we seek to be responsive to Him as He leads us in all we do, although that can never be an excuse for lack of preparation.

THE MERCY OF GOD.
Being merciful is fundamental to God’s work in salvation. We aim to extend mercy to one another and all to whom we minister.

INTEGRITY.
Openness and honesty are essential to healthy fulfilling relationships.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP.
We believe God designates leadership, giving them gifts and authority to lead. That authority should be exercised with humility, selflessness and grace in caring for the sheep and building up the body of Christ.

THE INDIVIDUAL.
Each has a gift, and is a gift to the whole Christian community.

UNITY.
We are convinced that all who belong to Christ are one body, His Church. We purpose to maintain unity by honouring all who call on Jesus’ name and by seeking reconciliation with all parts of His body, the Church.

REALITY.
We purpose to walk in the Spirit and experience all the phenomena of Heaven in that we also purpose to function in a Godly way, embracing the ‘natural’ as God has created for us. We value sound rational thinking.

SIMPLICITY.
We wish to do nothing for religious effect, but rather to operate in natural, non-hype, behaviour.

CULTURALLY CURRENT.
We purpose to live in an atmosphere of ease and to speak, act and dress in ways that our culture can respond to positively.

THE OPERATION OF THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT.
We believe they are given for the common good, and to equip the saints for the ministry. They continue in their usefullness and function in the Church today. As one grows in using God’s gifts seen by consistency, responsibility, and not taking credit for them, their influence will increase in the body.

THE VISION OF A CITY CHURCH AND WILL SOW INTO IT.
In the strength of unity, not only the divine purpose for each church of a city is needed, but the city is built up within its divine purpose as well.
